CheckPilot.ca is designed to support Ontario K-12 school boards and Canadian educational partners by providing an immersive, curriculum-aligned aviation training environment.

Our role as a service provider

• School boards and institutions remain the data controllers: they decide how and why Check Pilot is used, and how it fits with curriculum and internal policies.

• Check Pilot acts as a service provider / data processor, operating the platform, implementing security safeguards, and supporting access/correction/deletion requests under board direction.

Alignment with student digital privacy standards

• We minimize collection of student personal information and use anonymized usernames/IDs for student accounts.

• We do not sell or profit from student personal information and do not use student data for targeted advertising.

• We maintain a comprehensive security program and documented breach response plan.

• We provide clear privacy notices, terms of use, retention timelines, and mechanisms for access, correction and deletion.

Our Privacy Policy includes a Student Digital Privacy Addendum for Ontario K-12 that is designed to align with the Student Digital Privacy Standard for Classroom Applications, Software and Web Services used by Ontario school boards and VASP.
