Private Pilot Ground School
CheckPilot Ground School aims to provide future private pilots with essential knowledge needed for safe, confident, and skilled flight operations across Canada. The curriculum meets requirements outlined in CARs 421.26(3), including the mandatory 40 hours of ground instruction.
Our blended learning approach enables students to finish online ground school modules beforehand, allowing them to come ready with questions and concentrate on topics needing additional practice.
During the course, students engage in organized classroom sessions addressing core subject areas matching the Transport Canada PPAER Written Examination, alongside practical, authentic scenarios applicable to Canadian aviation operations. After finishing the program, students receive recommendations to advance with the written examination.
Program Formats
Regular Ground School
Tuesdays & Thursdays 18:30 – 21:30
Duration: Approximately 3 months
Accelerated Ground School
Saturdays & Sundays 10:00 – 18:00
Duration: Approximately 1 month
